BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $24,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board of Trustees of
the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for the fiscal biennium ending June 30,
2009, for programs to increase the recruitment and retention of students traditionally underrepresented in higher education. The funds must be used to support programs which help prepare students for college, encourage enrollment, and support successful academic experiences. new text end
