A bill for an act
relating to economic development; providing for Neighborhood Development
Center small business incubator grants; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $385,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $385,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for
grants to the Neighborhood Development Center for the small business incubator program.
Of this amount, $300,000 is for training, lending and business services for aspiring
business owners, and expansion of services for immigrants in suburban communities; and
$85,000 is for Neighborhood Development Center model outreach and training activities
in greater Minnesota.
