  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Norman county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; NORMAN COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, Norman county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.10  land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.11  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.12  282. 
  1.13     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.14  attorney general.  
  1.15     (c) The land to be sold is located in Norman county and is 
  1.16  described as: 
  1.17     Parcel #18-6909000:  a triangular piece or parcel of land 
  1.18  beginning at the southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of 
  1.19  the Northwest Quarter (NE 1/4 NW 1/4) of Section Nineteen (19) 
  1.20  Township One Hundred Forty-six (146) North of Range Forty-eight 
  1.21  (48) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian; thence running North 
  1.22  on the quarter line fifty-six and one-half (56 1/2) rods; thence 
  1.23  due West fifty-six and one-half (56 1/2) rods; thence in a 
  1.24  southeasterly direction to the place of beginning, containing 
  1.25  ten (10) acres, more or less. 
  2.1      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.2   management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  2.3   returned to private ownership.
