A bill for an act
relating to game and fish; removing deer, moose, and elk stand height restrictions;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.325; repealing Minnesota
Statutes 2010, sections 97B.511; 97B.515, subdivision 3.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.325, is amended to read:


97B.325 DEER STAND RESTRICTIONS.

A person may not take deer from a constructed platform or other structure that is
located within the right-of-way of an improved public highway deleted text begin or is higher than 16 feet
above the ground. The height restriction does not apply to a portable stand that is chained,
belted, clamped, or tied with rope
