  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for a fund transfer 
  1.3             for independent school district No. 306, LaPorte. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [LAPORTE; FUND TRANSFER.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 123B.79 and 
  1.7   123B.80, on June 30, 2001, independent school district No. 306, 
  1.8   LaPorte, may permanently transfer up to $141,000 from the bus 
  1.9   purchase account in its transportation fund to its capital 
  1.10  expenditure fund without making a levy reduction. 
  1.11     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.12  following final enactment.
