  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to the housing finance agency; appropriating 
  1.3             money for home ownership counseling services for 
  1.4             persons with disabilities. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $140,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   housing development fund for the fiscal biennium ending June 30, 
  1.9   2001, for purposes of the community rehabilitation program under 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, section 462A.206.  This appropriation must 
  1.11  be used to make a grant to a statewide organization that 
  1.12  advocates on behalf of persons with mental retardation or 
  1.13  related conditions.  The grant must be used to provide 
  1.14  prepurchase and postpurchase counseling to persons with various 
  1.15  disabilities who are participating in the Fannie Mae Homechoice 
  1.16  demonstration project and other projects designed to encourage 
  1.17  home ownership among person with disabilities.
