  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the organization and operation of state 
  1.3             government; providing supplemental appropriations for 
  1.4             certain purposes. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6   Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS SUMMARY.] 
  1.7      The sums shown in columns marked "APPROPRIATIONS" are 
  1.8   appropriated from the general fund, or another named fund, to 
  1.9   the agencies and for the purposes specified in the following 
  1.10  sections of this act to be available for the fiscal year 
  1.11  indicated for each purpose.  The figure "1995," whenever used in 
  1.12  this act, means that the appropriations listed under it are 
  1.13  available for the year ending June 30, 1995.

  1.21  Sec. 2.  PUBLIC DEFENSE BOARD; JUVENILE
  1.22  JUSTICE BILL MANDATES; COST OF TRANSCRIPTS            1,500,000
  1.23  This appropriation is added to the 
  1.24  appropriations in Laws 1993, chapter 
  1.25  146, article 2, section 3. 
  1.26  Sec. 3.  RACING COMMISSION                               77,000
  1.27  This appropriation is added to the 
  1.28  appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.1   146, article 3, section 3, for 
  2.2   regulating, licensing, and monitoring 
  2.3   pari-mutuel horse racing activities. 
  2.4   Sec. 4.  VETERANS AFFAIRS; EMERGENCY
  2.5   ASSISTANCE                                              500,000
  2.6   This appropriation is added to the 
  2.7   appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.8   192, section 23, for the emergency 
  2.9   financial and medical needs of veterans.
  2.10  Sec. 5.  MILITARY AFFAIRS; ARMORY
  2.11  ASSESSMENTS                                             46,000
  2.12  This appropriation is added to the 
  2.13  appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.14  192, section 22, for special 
  2.15  assessments due to the city of 
  2.16  Roseville for National Guard property 
  2.17  under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  2.18  435.19, subdivision 2. 
  2.19  Sec. 6.  PUBLIC SAFETY; EMERGENCY
  2.20  MANAGEMENT, FLOOD RELIEF                                30,000
  2.21  This appropriation is added to the 
  2.22  appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.23  266, section 5, subdivision 7, to 
  2.24  provide matching funds for federal 
  2.25  emergency management assistance funds 
  2.26  received for flood damaged counties 
  2.27  under federal disaster declaration 
  2.28  numbers 929, 946, and 993. 
  2.29  Sec. 7.  HEALTH; MENINGITIS                           1,030,000
  2.30  This appropriation is added to the 
  2.31  appropriation in Laws 1993, First 
  2.32  Special Session chapter 1, article 1, 
  2.33  section 3, subdivision 2, for health 
  2.34  protection programs to deal with the 
  2.35  meningitis outbreak in Minnesota. 
  2.36     Sec. 8.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.37     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
