A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for a Rice Creek Regional Trail
crossing on Silver Lake Road in New Brighton.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin RICE CREEK REGIONAL TRAIL CROSSING; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $362,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for a grant to Ramsey County for predesign, design, engineering, and
construction of pedestrian and traffic control systems on Ramsey County State-Aid Highway
44, known as Silver Lake Road, at the intersection with Rice Creek West Regional Trail
and the at-grade highway-rail crossing in the city of New Brighton. Notwithstanding
Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.28, this appropriation is available for three years after the
year of appropriation.
