  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; increasing reimbursement 
  1.3             rates for certain services; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [ANNUAL INCREASES.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding statutory provisions to the contrary, the 
  1.7   commissioner of human services shall increase reimbursement 
  1.8   rates for the following by five percent for the fiscal year 
  1.9   ending June 30, 1998 and by five percent for the fiscal year 
  1.10  ending June 30, 1999:  (1) personal care services under 
  1.11  Minnesota Statutes, section 256B.0625, subdivision 19a; (2) 
  1.12  home- and community-based services waiver for persons with 
  1.13  mental retardation and related conditions under Minnesota 
  1.14  Statutes, section 256B.501; (3) adult residential program 
  1.15  grants, under Minnesota Rules, parts 9535.2000 to 9535.3000; (4) 
  1.16  adult and family community support grants, under Minnesota 
  1.17  Rules, parts 9535.1700 to 9535.1760; (5) day training and 
  1.18  habilitation services for adults with mental retardation and 
  1.19  related conditions under Minnesota Statutes, sections 252.40 to 
  1.20  252.47; (6) semi-independent living services under Minnesota 
  1.21  Statutes, section 252.275; and (7) providers of group 
  1.22  residential housing that receive payments for supplementary 
  1.23  services under Minnesota Statutes, section 256I.05, subdivision 
  1.24  1a. 
  2.1      Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  2.2      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  2.3   commissioner of human services for the purposes of section 1, to 
  2.4   be available until June 30, 1999.
