  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for exceptions for 
  1.3             Minnesota high school league classifications; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 128C.05, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 128C.05, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 3.  [EXCEPTION.] The league must not include students 
  1.10  placed in a nonresident district for care and treatment 
  1.11  according to section 125A.15 when determining a district's 
  1.12  classification for interscholastic athletic activities under its 
  1.13  jurisdiction.
