A bill for an act
relating to gambling; appropriating money for
compulsive gambling prevention and education.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $150,000 in fiscal year 2006 and $150,000 in fiscal year
2007 are appropriated from the lottery prize fund to the
commissioner of human services for a grant to a compulsive
gambling council located in St. Louis County. The gambling
council must provide a statewide compulsive gambling prevention
and education project for adolescents. The unencumbered balance
of the appropriation from the lottery prize fund in the first
year of the biennium does not cancel but is available for the
second year.
