  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; permitting the city of 
  1.3             Saint Paul to amortize billboards. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF SAINT PAUL MAY AMORTIZE BILLBOARDS.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 462.357, 
  1.7   subdivision 1c, the city of Saint Paul may adopt and enforce an 
  1.8   ordinance providing for the elimination or termination by 
  1.9   amortization of nonconforming billboards. 
  1.10     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.11  following final enactment.
