  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to telecommunications; requiring the 
  1.3             department of commerce to present a plan to expand 
  1.4             local calling areas to include secondary school 
  1.5             attendance areas. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE PLAN.] 
  1.8      The department of commerce shall present a plan to the 
  1.9   legislature by January 15, 2004, to expand local calling areas 
  1.10  to include entire secondary school attendance areas.
