  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to recreational vehicles; repealing the 
  1.3             prohibition on the operation of a snowmobile with a 
  1.4             track equipped with metal traction devices on public 
  1.5             lands, roads, and trails; continuing the current 
  1.6             prohibition on the use of snowmobiles with metal 
  1.7             traction devices on paved public trails; amending Laws 
  1.8             1998, chapter 401, section 61; repealing Minnesota 
  1.9             Statutes 1998, section 84.871, subdivision 2; and Laws 
  1.10            1998, chapter 401, section 23. 
  1.11  BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.12     Section 1.  Laws 1998, chapter 401, section 61, is amended 
  1.13  to read: 
  1.14     Sec. 61.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.15     (a) Minnesota Statutes 1997 Supplement, section 85.015, 
  1.16  subdivision 1c, as amended by this act, is repealed effective 
  1.17  June 30, 1999. 
  1.18     (b) Laws 1991, chapter 275, section 3, is repealed. 
  1.19     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.20     Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 84.871, subdivision 2, and 
  1.21  Laws 1998, chapter 401, section 23, are repealed. 
  1.22     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.23     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.24  enactment.
