  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Sherburne county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; SHERBURNE COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, the commissioner of revenue 
  1.11  shall convey to the county of Sherburne for no consideration the 
  1.12  tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in 
  1.13  paragraph (c). 
  1.14     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.15  attorney general and provide that the land reverts to the state 
  1.16  if the county of Sherburne stops using the land for the public 
  1.17  purpose described in paragraph (d).  The conveyance shall 
  1.18  reserve to the state all mineral rights in the property. 
  1.19     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Sherburne county 
  1.20  and is described as:  
  1.21     All that part of Government Lot 3 lying between county 
  1.22     state-aid highway Number 1 and Elk Lake, excepting 
  1.23     therefrom the North 150 feet as measured along the 
  1.24     centerline of county state-aid highway Number 1, located in 
  1.25     Section 36, Township 35 North, Range 27 West, Blue Hill 
  2.1      Township, Sherburne county, Minnesota.  Further that this 
  2.2      parcel is also part of Parcel Number 12, Sherburne county 
  2.3      highway right-of-way plat number 9, as recorded with the 
  2.4      Sherburne county recorder's office. 
  2.5      (d) The county has determined that the land is needed for a 
  2.6   road right-of-way.
