A bill for an act
relating to metropolitan government; terminating the Legislative Commission
on Metropolitan Government; modifying reporting requirements for the
Metropolitan Council; amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 473.246;
repealing Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 3.8841.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 473.246, is amended to read:

The Metropolitan Council shall submit to the deleted text begin Legislative Commission on

metropolitan affairsnew text end information on the council's tax rates and dollar amounts levied for
the current year, proposed property tax rates and levies, operating and capital budgets,
work program, capital improvement program, and any other information requested by the
