A bill for an act
relating to the Metropolitan Airports Commission; requiring certain commission
meetings to be held outside of the airport security area; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2012, section 473.604, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 473.604, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

Subd. 5a.

Meetings with broad public interest.

Commission meetings or hearings
that are likely to be of broad public interest, as determined by the commission, must
be held outside of the airport security area and in a location where a person can attend
without providing personal identification documentation. A meeting or hearing is of broad
public interest if 30 or more persons, other than commission staff, are likely to attend.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.
