A bill for an act
relating to unemployment; providing 50 percent reimbursement of unemployment
charges to the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $....... in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development to reimburse the Duluth Entertainment and
Convention Center for one-half of the amount of unemployment benefits charged to its
reimbursable account for payments made to its employees from March 15, 2020, to March
14, 2021.

new text begin (b) This appropriation is available only if the Duluth Entertainment and Convention
Center is not reimbursed for the same purpose by federal funds under the CARES Act,
Public Law 116-136, and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, Public Law 116-260.
