relating to health; requiring reporting of the prevalence of sexual violence in the
state; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 145.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin The commissioner of health, in collaboration with other appropriate state agencies,
must collect data on the incidence and prevalence of sexual violence in the state and
provide a biennial report to the public via its Web site and to the legislature beginning
April 1, 2014.

Sec. 2. new text begin IMPLEMENTATION REPORT.

new text begin By February 15, 2012, the commissioner of health must report to the legislature on
recommendations for and progress toward implementation of the data collection and
reporting requirements, including projected costs of the program under section 1.
