A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for grants to suburban transit
providers.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin REPLACEMENT SERVICE TRANSIT PROVIDERS; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $1,800,000 in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the general fund to the
Metropolitan Council for a grant to the Suburban Transit Association. The council must not
retain any portion of the funds appropriated under this section and must make grant payments
in full by July 31, 2020. This is a onetime appropriation.

new text begin (b) The Suburban Transit Association must distribute the grant funds to replacement
service providers under Minnesota Statutes, section 473.388.
