A bill for an act
relating to human services; modifying the definition of legal nonlicensed child
care provider; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 119B.011, subdivision
16.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 119B.011, subdivision 16, is amended to read:


Subd. 16.

Legal nonlicensed child care provider.

"Legal nonlicensed child care
provider" means: (1) a child care provider who is excluded from licensing requirements
under section 245A.03, subdivision 2; or (2) a child care provider authorized to provide
care in a child's home under section 119B.09, subdivision 13, provided the provider only
cares for related children, children from a single, unrelated family, or both related children
and children from a single, unrelated family.new text begin A legal nonlicensed child care provider may
