A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money for school-linked mental health
grants delivered by telemedicine; requiring a report.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2019 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
human services, available until expended, for grants for four pilot projects to deliver
school-linked mental health services by telemedicine. The grants are for new or existing
providers and must be two pilot projects in greater Minnesota, one in the seven-county
metropolitan area excluding Minneapolis and St. Paul, and one in Minneapolis or St. Paul.
The commissioner shall report to the legislative committees with jurisdiction over mental
health issues on the effectiveness of the pilot projects six months after funds appropriated
under this section are expended.
