A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Goodwill-Easter Seals
Minnesota Career and Technical Training Center in St. Paul.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin GOODWILL-EASTER SEALS MINNESOTA CAREER AND
TECHNICAL TRAINING CENTER; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $5,720,000 in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Goodwill-Easter Seals to design,
renovate, construct, furnish, and equip the Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota Career and
Technical Training Center in St. Paul. This appropriation is not available until the
commissioner of management and budget determines that at least an equal amount is
committed from nonstate sources. Nonstate money spent on the project before the effective
date of this section counts toward the nonstate contribution. This appropriation is available
until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
