A bill for an act
 relating to courts; modifying the filing fee for a facsimile transmission; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 357.021, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 357.021, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Notwithstanding contrary provisions
of Rule 5.05 of the Rules of Civil Procedure, the transmission fee for a paper filed by
facsimile must not exceed $5 in the case of a paper five or fewer pages in length.
