  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to insurance; eliminating the requirement 
  1.3             that health plans cover high-dosage chemotherapy with 
  1.4             autologous bone marrow transplant as treatment for 
  1.5             breast cancer; repealing Minnesota Statutes 1998, 
  1.6             section 62A.309. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.9      Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 62A.309, is repealed. 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; APPLICATION.] 
  1.11     Section 1 is effective January 1, 2002, and applies to 
  1.12  health plans offered, issued, sold, or renewed to provide 
  1.13  coverage to a Minnesota resident on or after that date.
