BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $9,000,000 is appropriated from the renewable
development account to the commissioner of natural resources for a grant to Dakota County
under Minnesota Statutes, section 116C.779, to design and construct capital improvements
to the hydroelectric generating facility, including replacement of obsolete turbines, at the
Byllesby Dam, located on the Cannon River.
