  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to claims against the state; requiring 
  1.3             payment of a claim for underpayment of a paving 
  1.4             contract. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.] 
  1.7      The department of transportation shall pay $32,408 to 
  1.8   reimburse Tenson Construction, Inc. of Bigfork, Minnesota, for 
  1.9   amounts unnecessarily deducted from payments on a paving 
  1.10  contract for work done in Faribault and Martin counties in 1998 
  1.11  and 1999.  This payment is a full and final settlement of all 
  1.12  claims against the state by Tenson Construction, Inc. related to 
  1.13  this contract. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
