A bill for an act
relating to public safety; creating an open appropriation to commissioner of
corrections for certain federal money received by commissioner of corrections;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 241.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Money received by the commissioner of corrections from the Social Security
Administration as a result of the incentive payment agreement under the Personal
Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act, Public Law 104-193,
section 1611(e)(1), and Public Law 106-170, section 202 (x)(3), is appropriated to the
commissioner of corrections for discharge planning for inmates with mental illness.
