  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; providing an increased levy 
  1.3             limit base for the city of Circle Pines. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF CIRCLE PINES; LEVY LIMIT INCREASE.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the levy limit 
  1.7   base of the city of Circle Pines under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.8   section 275.71, is increased by $60,000 for taxes levied in 
  1.9   2000, payable in 2001, and thereafter, and by an additional 
  1.10  $30,000 for taxes levied in 2001, payable in 2002, and 
  1.11  thereafter. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective for taxes levied in 2000, payable in 
  1.14  2001, and thereafter, but only if and to the extent that general 
  1.15  statutory levy limitations are extended by law.
