  1.2             relating to local government; allowing West St. Paul 
  1.3             to implement an ordinance amortizing certain signs. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [WEST ST. PAUL; AMORTIZATION OF SIGNS.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes 1999 Supplement, section 
  1.7   462.357, subdivision 1c, the city of West St. Paul may enforce 
  1.8   its sign ordinance number 99-10, effective June 6, 1999.  This 
  1.9   section is effective the day following final enactment.
