relating to claims against the state; providing for settlement of various claims;
appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of corrections, to be available until June 30, 2007, as full and final payment under
Minnesota Statutes, sections 3.738 and 3.739, of claims against the state for injuries
suffered by and medical services provided to persons injured while performing community
service or sentence-to-service work for correctional purposes or while incarcerated in a
correctional facility:

new text begin (1) for medical expenses already paid by the Department of Corrections, $4,488.70;

new text begin (2) for payment of medical costs related to the injury suffered by Samuel Edsill
while performing sentence-to-service work in Scott County, $4,158.98;

new text begin (3) for payment to Richard Greenwood for permanent injuries suffered while
performing work at MCF-Rush City, $1,863.75;

new text begin (4) for payment to Donna Gregory for permanent injuries suffered while performing
sentence-to-service work in Martin County, $3,187.50;

new text begin (5) for payment to Brenden Larson for permanent injuries suffered while performing
sentence-to-service work in Dakota County, $6,280;
