  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; increasing certain homestead and 
  1.3             agricultural credit aid payments to Lincoln county; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [AGRICULTURAL AND HOMESTEAD CREDIT AID 
  1.7   ADJUSTMENTS; LINCOLN COUNTY.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [AID INCREASE.] For aids paid in calendar 
  1.9   years 2000, 2001, and 2002 only, Lincoln county shall receive an 
  1.10  additional homestead and agricultural credit aid payment of 
  1.11  $284,000 each year under the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.12  section 273.1398.  The additional aid under this section must 
  1.13  not be included in calculating any aids, levy limitations, or 
  1.14  expenditures under any law. 
  1.15     Subd. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] $284,000 is appropriated in each 
  1.16  of fiscal years 2001, 2002, and 2003 to the commissioner of 
  1.17  revenue from the general fund to make the payment under 
  1.18  subdivision 1. 
  1.19     Subd. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] Subdivision 1 is effective the 
  1.20  day after timely compliance by the governing body of Lincoln 
  1.21  county and its chief clerical officer with Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.22  section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
