  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1999 Supplement, section 
  1.9   353F.02, subdivision 5, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 5.  [OTHER PUBLIC EMPLOYING UNIT.] "Other public 
  1.11  employing unit" means: 
  1.12     (1) Metro II, a joint powers organization formed under 
  1.13  section 471.59; and 
  1.14     (2) the St. Paul civic center authority. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
