  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to courts; juries; exempting certain mothers 
  1.3             from jury service; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 593. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [593.315] [JURY DUTY EXEMPTION.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding any contrary provision in the rules on jury 
  1.8   administration, a woman is exempt from jury service if she is 
  1.9   not employed and she has one or more children not yet attending 
  1.10  school on a full-time basis.
