A bill for an act
relating to waters; clarifying watershed district board meeting requirements for
meetings conducted by interactive television; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016,
section 103D.315, subdivision 10.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 103D.315, subdivision 10, is amended to
read:

Subd. 10.

Meetings.

The managers shall meet annually and at other necessary times to
transact the business of the watershed district. A meeting may be called at any time at the
request of any manager. When a manager requests a meeting, the secretary of the watershed
district must mail a notice of the meeting to each member at least eight days before the
meeting. new text begin Notwithstanding section 13D.02 or other law to the contrary, for purposes of
meetings conducted by interactive television, a manager may attend a meeting at a location
that is open and accessible to the public and that is located outside the geographic boundaries
of the watershed district.
