relating to corrections; appropriating money for various correctional purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,450,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of corrections. Of this amount:

new text begin (1) $1,200,000 is for 100 new chemical dependency/mental health beds;
new text end

new text begin (2) $125,000 is for a chemical dependency release planner at MCF-Shakopee; and
new text end

new text begin (3) $125,000 is for a chemical dependency release planner at MCF-Stillwater.

new text begin This appropriation is added to the base budget of the Department of Corrections.
