A bill for an act
 relating to state government operations; authorizing transfer of certain real
property to Indian tribes under certain conditions; amending Minnesota Statutes
2008, section 16B.296.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 16B.296, is amended to read:


16B.296 TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY.

Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, real property purchased in whole or
in part with state funds may not be transferred for less than the appraised value, or if
the property has not been appraised, for less than the fair market value as determined
by the commissioner of administration. This section does not apply to a department
listed in section 15.01, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, the University of
