relating to waters; stating the rights of private property owners regarding
groundwater, lakes, and watercourses; proposing coding for new law in
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 103G.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin A property owner's interest in the reasonable use of the groundwater underlying
the property owner's land and a riparian property owner's interest in the reasonable use
of the water in a lake or watercourse located on or flowing through the owner's riparian
land shall be protected.
