  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to agriculture; appropriating money to fund 
  1.3             litigation to accomplish reform of the federal milk 
  1.4             market order system. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; LITIGATION FOR MILK MARKET 
  1.7   ORDER SYSTEM REFORM.] 
  1.8      $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of agriculture to supplement funding for litigation 
  1.10  to accomplish reform of the federal milk market order system.  
  1.11  This amount is in addition to funds appropriated in Laws 1997, 
  1.12  chapter 216, section 7, subdivision 4.  This appropriation may 
  1.13  be used in either year of fiscal biennium ending June 30, 1999. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
