relating to natural resources; appropriating money for restoring and enhancing
wild-rice waters.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; RESTORING WILD-RICE WATERS.

$1,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of natural resources for restoring and enhancing wild-rice waters, of which $500,000 is for
competitive grants to bands of the Minnesota Chippewa tribe to restore and enhance wild-rice
waters. The commissioner must develop forms and procedures for soliciting and reviewing
applications for grants under this section.
