BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 144.293, subdivision 4, is amended to read:


Subd. 4.

Duration of consent.

Except as provided in this section, a consent is valid for
deleted text begin one yeardeleted text end new text begin three yearsnew text end or for a period specified in the consent or for a different period provided
by law.
