  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to public waters; authorizing funding for 
  1.3             state share of cleanup of certain Mississippi river 
  1.4             sediment; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $1,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of natural resources to serve as the state match to 
  1.9   federal money to remove surplus sediment along the east bank of 
  1.10  the Mississippi river at Little Falls.  The commissioner must 
  1.11  coordinate and work with the United States Army Corps of 
  1.12  Engineers on this project. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
