A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money for refurbishing the White Earth
Opiate Treatment Facility.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin NATIVE AMERICAN JUVENILE TREATMENT CENTER; WHITE
EARTH RESERVATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2019 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
human services for a grant to the tribal council of the White Earth Nation to refurbish and
equip the White Earth Opiate Treatment Facility on the White Earth Reservation. The facility
shall treat Native Americans and provide culturally specific programming to individuals
placed in the treatment center. This appropriation is available until the project is completed
or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
