relating to natural resources; appropriating money to assess floodplain
improvements.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; CITY OF MADELIA.

new text begin $105,000 in fiscal year 2021 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of natural resources for a grant to the city of Madelia for surveying, modeling, and designing
floodplain improvements along the Watonwan River. The city must submit a copy of the
study to the commissioner of natural resources and to the Federal Emergency Management
Agency for possible incorporation into the Watonwan County digital flood insurance rate
maps. This is a onetime appropriation.
