A bill for an act
relating to education finance; authorizing the commissioner of education to waive
the General Education Development (GED) test fee under certain circumstances;
appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 124D.55;
Laws 2005, First Special Session chapter 5, article 9, section 4, subdivision 3.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 124D.55, is amended to read:


124D.55 GENERAL EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT (GED) TEST FEES.

individual for the full battery of a general education development (GED) test, but not more
than $20 for an eligible individualnew text begin except as provided in paragraph (b)new text end .

or precariously housed.

Sec. 2.

Laws 2005, First Special Session chapter 5, article 9, section 4, subdivision 3,
is amended to read:

Laws 1993, chapter 224, article 4, section 44, subdivision 10:
