  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to designation of wild animals; creating a 
  1.3             state amphibian and a state reptile; proposing coding 
  1.4             for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 1. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [1.1461] [STATE AMPHIBIAN.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [NORTHERN LEOPARD FROG.] The northern 
  1.8   leopard frog is designated as the state amphibian. 
  1.9      Subd. 2.  [PHOTOGRAPH.] A photograph of the northern 
  1.10  leopard frog, undeformed, shall be preserved in the office of 
  1.11  the secretary of state. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [1.1462] [STATE REPTILE.] 
  1.13     Subdivision 1.  [BLANDING'S TURTLE.] The blanding's turtle 
  1.14  is designated as the state reptile. 
  1.15     Subd. 2.  [PHOTOGRAPH.] A photograph of the blanding's 
  1.16  turtle shall be preserved in the office of the secretary of 
  1.17  state.
