A bill for an act
relating to state lands; authorizing a 30-year lease of tax-forfeited and school
trust fund lands in St. Louis County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin LEASE OF TAX-FORFEITED AND SCHOOL TRUST FUND
LANDS; ST. LOUIS COUNTY.

(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 282.04, or other law to the contrary,
St. Louis County may enter a 30-year lease of tax-forfeited land for a wind energy
community-based energy development (C-BED) project.

(b) The commissioner of natural resources may enter a 30-year lease of school trust
land for the project under paragraph (a).
