relating to animal health; requiring a study of COVID-19 in farmed deer;
appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin STUDY REQUIRED; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board of Animal
Health to study COVID-19 in farmed deer registered with the board under Minnesota
Statutes, section 35.155. No later than February 1, 2023, the board must report study results
to the legislative committees with jurisdiction over agriculture and natural resources. This
is a onetime appropriation.
