  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to newspapers; providing priority for 
  1.3             official publication for a public body to a newspaper 
  1.4             with either a known office of issue or a secondary 
  1.5             office; amending Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 
  1.6             331A.04, subdivision 2; repealing Minnesota Statutes 
  1.7             1998, section 331A.04, subdivision 3. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 331A.04, 
  1.10  subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.11     Subd. 2.  [KNOWN OFFICE IN LOCALITY.] If there are one or 
  1.12  more qualified newspapers, the known office of issue of which 
  1.13  are with a known office of issue or a secondary office located 
  1.14  within the local public corporation, one of them shall must be 
  1.15  designated. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.17     Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 331A.04, subdivision 3, is 
  1.18  repealed.
