relating to capital investment; appropriating money for Safe Harbor emergency
shelter and housing capital projects.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Heartland Girls Ranch, Benson. new text end

new text begin $970,000 is appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to the Heartland Girls Ranch
in Benson to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a house with capacity for ten
beds, and a second horse riding arena.

new text begin $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of human services for a grant to Life House in Duluth to complete the
renovation of the ten-bed transitional shelter and adjacent building to accommodate the
expansion of supportive services, including education and employment.

new text begin The Link, Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. new text end

the general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to The Link to purchase
the Passageways Emergency Shelter and Housing land and building, and to predesign,
design, construct, furnish, and equip an addition to the building to provide for ten to 15
additional units.
